The Lemon Fairy Apron

My youngest daughter loves yellow. I designed this apron for her. I was going to call it the Hannah Marie, but she insisted on calling it the Lemon Fairy Apron. So here it is. Hope you enjoy it. It is made with a soft homespun yellow gingham and a cotton lemon/lime print. Note the lots and lots of rick rack on the edges. (I love rick rack on aprons!)

I am currently designing a Nancy Jo, Bobbie June, Emma Mae and Katherine Enchanted apron (actually I think I'll name the full pink one the Katherine Enchanted apron), so check back and see what's new. I know, everyone is telling me to rest my hands, but....compared to what I usually do with these wrinkled, calloused appendages, this is light work! :)

Andrea (my sewing/apron model) decided she wanted to stand by my great-grandmother's table in my breakfast nook. She was tired of being squeezed into a corner of my sewing studio! *g* The skirt is even, I think Andrea was coming a little undone from her base when I moved her and is leaning a wee bit!

Have a wonderful night everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog.

I LOVELOVELOVE your aprons! I surfed here via the FarmGirls site, and I am so glad I did. I am starting to make aprons myself, and yours are wonderful inspirations. I especially like the Minerva and the Lemon.

Glad to meet ya-
